| Spring Is Here |
We changed over from winter to summer like a flick of the switch. One day it was cold and the next piping hot. Yesterday was one of those scorching days with the sun pounding down on the earth that is so dry at the moment. As the evening cooled off we saw the clouds rolling in and by ten o’clock the thunder was rumbling across the sky. It was one of those Highveld electric storms. The kind of storm where you lie in bed and pull the covers up to your chin and then just listen to this awesome sound. I thought the roof was going to be lifted by the wind and then it quietened down and a soft rain started falling. This morning everything was washed clean and the fresh smell that greeted us was magnificent – and again I am most grateful to know I am blessed to live on a piece of paradise such as this.
