Monday Morning on Rich Ranch

Good Monday morning to all. Today is the first time since 3rd October that we have had a no people visiting on the farm. We love having the schools here but the quiet and serenity that prevailed in the air this morning brought peace back into our hearts. In a day or two we will be restored to carry on with our work.
I think this is what the city folk miss out on. Even the weekends that they leave the city to “rest” fly past. Their time is spent travelling to their weekend destination, checking in to wherever they are staying, setting up camp, launching their boats or whatever they do to relax. By the time they are settled it is time to return to the city. This morning they found themselves back in the traffic. I think we should go back to simple ways to find the peace in our lives.

OK I did not want to preach and sound like an old mother.

We had wonderful rain on Saturday that chased us all indoors so our campers could not ride our zip line until Sunday morning, but it was a real welcome rain – 28mm. You can actually see the bush change overnight when you get your first good rain. Everything seemed green this morning.

I am going to try and have a day of rest, but we always end up working on something during the day. Something always happens that needs our attention.
