Our Kids Visiting Rich Ranch

Now a few posts ago I wrote about we as South Africans having our kids living abroad. Well there is light at the end of the tunnel. I saved this news for this post.
They do return and after more than ten years in the UK, Richard’s son is back. So we had them over for the weekend. We had another long weekend here in South Africa which is quite usual here. Nothing strange about all these holidays. I now just say it’s another public holiday because I can’t keep up with the changes. The schools were on holiday end of March/beginning of April and now over the last two week they were off again. Can only be in South Africa.
Anyway we had a super weekend with Clint’s two children and then Toria joined them. The three of them get on like a house on fire. Each night they would pass out from sheer exhaustion.
When they left we had to of course get on with the farm duties and set off on the quads to round up the cattle and set them in the kraal for the night. At one stage down in the valley I just switched off the motor and once again was in awe of the beauty of the veld out here. Just sitting there in the silence always makes me aware that I am very privileged to be able to visit in such serenity. I did as always have my camera but unfortunately I cannot post a photo at the moment. Blogger has a problem and it is very difficult to post at the moment.
I really wish I could have shared it with you.
