The cold has crept on us and we have never experienced this on the farm.
There is frost every morning and it is a must to snatch a few extra minutes in bed each morning.
Once we are up and about and in the sun the days are beautiful. Every afternoon we go for long walks and just enjoy the winter because soon we will be moaning about the heat again.
Last night Richard forgot to put the hose pipe off and this is the sight we were greeted with this morning. I thought I would share it with you.
This is a very busy part of our year when we do loads of repairing and maintenance so that we are ready to go when the schools start in full force in two weeks time. I will have to get my mind round the idea of getting up at 5am again and having a more structured day, but in the mean time I am enjoy these carefree days.
