Sophy and Rich Ranch

Bricking some Areas
On Monday the builders arrived to start all final repairs of all the flood damage. It has taken so long because the rain keeps on returning. It is very unusual for rain at this time of the year for the region. “Well it was Murphy’s Law” all over again when the builders wanted to start. The clouds gathered and the sun disappeared so a halt was brought to some of the projects but we did get certain areas bricked out. This morning the sun is out and we are able to get on with the job again. We really have to get all this finished within the next two week as we are entering our busiest time of the year.
"Sophy" in the Foreground
Yesterday Richard and I took a walk to the farm next door where the old lady Sophy lives. Now Sophy is a real remarkable lady. She does not really know how old she is but she tells me she is older than “Mandela” which will put her well into her nineties. Sophy can do a ten kilometre walk with absolute easy and her mind is so sharp you can converse with her about anything “farm related”. She grew up on this farm and is third generation born here. She is the oldest of thirteen children of which all are still alive. I think the secret behind their longevity is that they get plenty of exercise and they eat healthy food that is grown on the farm. There meat is reared on the fields so none of these preservatives and additives that we live on.  It just shows what a difference it make when you eat healthy and exercise regularly. One thing that I would want is to be as active and healthy as Sophy when I am well into my nineties. More news on Sophy later.
