No Power on Rich Ranch

Today is was busy, busy as usual on the farm. All the building repairs, paving and improvements are on their way and soon we will be ship shape again. I can’t wait for this because we now have to do a sweep at least three times a day in the hall with all the sand that is tramped in during the day. It’s Friday and all the tradesmen knocked off early today to get to their families for the weekend so there wasn’t be as much work done as other days.
Frans Connecting Us Up
Lines Being Replaced
No Ladders Needed
We had no power from 8:30am till 5:00pm because ESKOM (Our national electric power supply company) was replacing our electric wires. Now I don’t know why this is being done as it is an enormous expense and we have no problem with our electricity supply. It is definitely and expense that could have been avoided and I bet that if we look into it someone has been granted an unnecessary contract for this. Our rates are increasing at a phenomenal rate and ESKOM keep complaining about their overheads, but then they award contracts such as these. All this is a bit fishy. In a few months time we will hear what the real deal is. Any way they also need to switch us off tomorrow so we will be catching up on our reading and hope there is a sunny corner on the porch where we can curl up for the day.
Happy birthday Victoria (Granddaughter) Hope you are blessed with a beautiful day. We will see you soon and bring your presents with. Love you.
