The Valley Just starting to Turn Green |
Our spring is really well on its way now and you can see the change in the bush. We just need a good spring rain and within two or three days the veld is green.
I love this time of the year because soon the cows start calving and the blesbuck drop their babies and every colour wild veld flower is out. It is the most amazing time of the year on the farm.
With the ups come the downs as well. We are a week behind with our flood damage repairs as our TLB had a hic-cup with its fuel pump and it can only be replace this coming week. The joys of living on a farm, miles away from civilization. Not too much to do on the pool but we cannot close the water for the pool to fill until everything is complete. I am sure it will just be a week now.
We have just said goodbye to our children that spent the weekend with us. They are a Christian group from a primary school and it was just singing and joy for three days. It fills my heart with great joy when I see people working and caring for the kids in such a way as this team. What is more amazing is that some of the teachers that came with this group were once students that camped here many years ago. I don’t want to think about that because it reminds me that I am getting on in years.
Well talking about getting on in years, I will have to put that being me and get my mind into gear as we must quickly get everything in order for our next group who will be arriving in an hour or so.
Will let you know what’s happening in the next few days
