Clouds Still Rolling In |
It started yesterday afternoon and it has been a constant, soft drizzle right through the night. Everything smells fresh this morning and it even looks a bit green out there. It is an enormous relief after the scorching heat of the past few weeks.
The farmers have had some loss with the drought and the crops that were planted about four weeks ago have not come up so some of the farmers in the area have decided that they will replant their crops. This will greatly affect the food costs next year again.
We are now busy with our last camp for the year and looking forward to a well earned rest. We have our big clean to do and then all our staff will be off to their families for the holidays. You can just imagine how quiet it is going to be here. It will be bliss to have the farm to ourselves for a few weeks.
