Right everyone, I hope you are used to write 2012 when you date anything. Can you believe it is time to get back to work? On one hand I was wishing for another week off but on the other hand I cannot wait to get back into the driving seat again.

The One-Horned Gemsbok |
We were on the farm until January 3rd just enjoying the peace and serenity that is our farm. We read, went for leisurely walks, went quadding regularly, went on a hunt for some biltong (we had an old Gemsbok that had lost one horn a few years ago) and of course ate far too much. The farm has a mystical atmosphere when we have no visitors, so we lap up each moment. Our children were overnight visitors here and that was good with us as we needed the rest.
Once some of our staff returned to work we made a break for Johannesburg. We must sound like a pair of Jekyll and Hydes. One week we are farmers and the next we are city kids. Once we are in Johannesburg I cook fancy dinners and potter in the garden and just do the different things from farm life.
Pre-Flight Check |
Now it is back to the farm and this post is being written from the car again. We are replenishing stocks for the kitchen and tuck shop and I am now putting my thinking camp on to make my first camp very special for some very special kids. You will have to follow us on Rich Ranch for news on that. It is going to be real spectacular.
Keep tuned. I am now back to normal and posts will come regular.
