We started the day off chilly but soon the temperatures were up and the sun dried out all the rain that we had. We are not complaining 'cause we really needed the rain.
That TLB will be up and running by tomorrow. By the way let me enlighten you what TLB stands for. "Tractor Loader Backhoe" Now how is that for a bit of general knowledge to use at your dinner party with the Joneses next week. This TLB really makes our lives easy. At the moment the cattle eat up to 3 tons of sugar graze a day and with the TLB it is 3 easy scoops and the job is done.
Can you believe they eat so much, and we are not even big farmers? Our neighbouring farmers think that this is just hobby we are so small. Pretty expensive hobby and mind you hard work as well. Always keep in mind that we did not grow up on the farm so lots of school fees were paid along the way, but after about 4 or 5 years we starting to take shape and can see our herd growing. We only have beef cattle and those steaks that you eat, never forget to thank the farmers. One thing I must say is I also enjoy a steak but we have never slaughtered our own cattle for consumption. Can you imagine eating someone who has looked you in the eye when they are having an injection. Or standing by while they have their calves. No thank you.
More tomorrow
