| Making Fire Breaks |
This weekend we had to get ourselves into gear again as we had a company doing their team building event with us. We had to do a check again of all the obstacle courses and zip lines and we have to be extra vigilant about veld fires this time of the year as the grass is so dry. When we have adults doing their team build we have to be careful with the smokers. City folk don’t realize how quickly a fire can get out of hand. They also don’t realize that it a spark can turn into a raging fire in no time.
We do have fire breaks on all the boundaries and also surrounding feeding paddocks but we made a few extra round the fireplace where the visitors spend their evenings so everything should be in order.
We have another birthday girl in the family today. The other granddaughter is also nine today and I believe they are going for lunch with the mommies tomorrow.
