First Rains on Rich Ranch

Soon the Lawns will be Green Again
Yesterday morning we woke up to the sound of the first rains on the roof. It was gentle and very welcoming. Much needed. It was the kind of weather that makes you want to stay in bed and snuggle but unfortunately we had a church group that was visiting our venue so it was up and busy with breakfast for our guests. No sleeping in.During the day we could smell the freshness that comes with the first rains. The dust has settled and wonderful green will be on its way soon.
Those Darn Monkeys
Our Zip Line gents came to tension the cable to ride the zip line and now all we have to do is clean out the last bit of the dam. This is going to be a real fun ride. It is not as high as out other zip, which by the way has turned out awesome, but it will be tried out by far more kids as it is not as challenging as the first one.
The monkeys are full up at the moment and they are real imps. They turn the garbage cans upside-down and should we leave anything shiny or colourful out, they snatch it up and are off into the trees. They are so brave at the moment that they sit in the trees outside the back door and brazenly watch us. It is time to scare them off with a shot in the air with the shotgun. That is all that scares them off.
